The library from a bird’s eye view

Kraslava, Latgale.

A gorgeous baroque-style park - a geometric garden of linden trees - was created in the middle of the 18th century near the Count Plater Library.

More than fifty rare species of trees and shrubs were planted in the landscaped park -

for example, Weymouth pine, black pine, red maple, silver fir and Virginia ivy. Grapes, apricots, pineapples and other tender and heat-loving plants were grown in the greenhouse.
